Payments & Cancellations

Last updated: 30 October 2026

Fees are not refundable once the work they cover has started or been delivered. This page explains how payments, cancellations and changes work. The written proposal or engagement letter for your project sets out the exact fees and payment schedule, and takes priority over this page if they differ.

Payments

  • Fees, payment stages and due dates are agreed in writing before work begins.

  • Some engagements require a deposit or upfront payment before work is scheduled. Deposits secure your place in my diary and are non-refundable.

  • Invoices are payable within the period stated on the invoice.

  • For contingency (no recovery, no fee) Revenue Recovery Audits, the fee is a percentage of the money actually recovered or confirmed, as set out in the engagement letter. If nothing is recovered, no contingency fee is payable.

No refunds

Because consulting time cannot be returned once spent, fees paid for work that has started or been delivered are not refunded. This includes diagnoses, audits, documentation, builds and monthly support already provided.

Cancelling an engagement

You can cancel an engagement at any time by emailing hello@mcreeva.com. If you do:

  • you pay for all work completed up to the date of cancellation, plus any agreed costs already incurred

  • you are not charged for work not yet started

  • deposits and fees already paid are not refunded

Monthly support

Ongoing support or maintenance can be cancelled with 30 days' written notice. Fees for the current month and the notice period are not refunded.

Rescheduling

If you need to move a scheduled session or workshop, please give at least 48 hours' notice so it can be rearranged without charge. Sessions cancelled with less notice may be charged in full.

If I need to cancel

If I have to cancel or cannot complete agreed work, I will refund any fees paid for work not yet carried out.
