This policy explains what personal information McReeva Operational Consultants collects, why, and what your rights are. McReeva Operational Consultants is a trading name of Reeva McLaughlin, based in London, United Kingdom. I am the data controller for the information described here.

What information I collect

When you book a call or contact me: your name, email address, phone number, company name, job title and anything you choose to tell me in your message.
When we work together: contact details for you and your colleagues, invoicing details and business records you share with me for the work, such as invoices, contracts, process documents and spreadsheets.
When I contact you about my services: your name, job title, company and business contact details, taken from public sources such as your company website, Companies House or LinkedIn.
When you visit this website: technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and similar tools.

Why I use it, and the legal basis

To respond to enquiries and run discovery calls. Basis: taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
To deliver and invoice the work you hire me for. Basis: performance of a contract.
To keep business and tax records. Basis: legal obligation.
To contact businesses about services that may be relevant to them. Basis: legitimate interests. I only contact people in their professional role, and every message includes an easy way to opt out.
To keep the website working and understand how it is used. Basis: legitimate interests for essential cookies; your consent for any non-essential cookies.

Client business data

During an engagement you may share records that contain personal information about your staff, customers or suppliers. I use that information only to carry out the agreed work, keep it secure, do not share it with anyone else, and return or delete it when the work ends unless we agree otherwise in writing. Where needed, we can sign a confidentiality or data processing agreement before work begins.

Who I share it with

I do not sell your information. I share it only with service providers that help me run the business, such as Wix (website and bookings), Google Workspace (email and file storage), LinkedIn (business messaging), and my accountant or professional advisers. I may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Some of these providers may store data outside the UK. Where they do, they use legally recognised safeguards, such as UK-approved contract clauses.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 2 years after our last contact.
Client and financial records: 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as required for UK tax purposes.
Client business records shared for an engagement: returned or deleted when the work ends, unless agreed otherwise.
If you ask me not to contact you, I keep a minimal record of your name and email so that I do not contact you again.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask me to:

give you a copy of the information I hold about you
correct information that is wrong or incomplete
delete your information
restrict or stop using your information
stop contacting you for marketing (this request is always honoured)
transfer your information to another organisation, where applicable

You can also withdraw consent at any time where I rely on it. To make any request, email hello@mcreeva.com. I will respond within one month.

This website is hosted on Wix, which uses essential cookies to make the site work and, with your consent, analytics cookies to understand how visitors use it. You can accept or refuse non-essential cookies using the banner shown when you first visit, and change your choice in your browser settings at any time.

Keeping information secure

I use secure, password-protected business accounts, and only keep the information I need for the purposes above.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, please contact me first at hello@mcreeva.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

I may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
